Welcome! My name is Mallory MacDonald. I am the owner and founder of

LOCAL LOVE MUSKOKA. 

LOCAL LOVE MUSKOKA was founded in May 2021, with the goal and mission of finding ways to support local businesses in Muskoka, as many suffered losses due to the global pandemic.

LOCAL LOVE MUSKOKA first started as an Instagram page to promote businesses in the Muskoka region, but I quickly learned that it could be so much more. I graduated from the University of Guelph in April 2022, with a Bachelor of Commerce, where I majored in Marketing Management. While studying marketing at university, I realized that with the knowledge I had gained in my degree, as well as my experience working in e-commerce, I could create something special.

In Summer 2020, I worked for a program partnered with Shopify, creating websites for small businesses across Canada. From my experience with this program, I was able to see that there was a gap in the marketing world for small businesses. Many small businesses do not know how to run a website, manage social media effectively, or maintain a strong online presence. That is where LOCAL LOVE MUSKOKA comes into play.
